Who built this system and who to call when you need something changed

Twende Link Limited is a Ugandan consulting and technology company, working under the motto bridging solutions. The firm delivers enterprise ICT, strategy, governance and capacity-building services, and designs, develops and supports management systems for schools, hospitals and businesses. We build the kind of software that runs an institution day to day: the systems the bursar opens first thing in the morning and the class teacher closes last thing at night. Our work is built around how institutions here actually operate, from termly fee structures and boarding registers to the competency based curriculum and Uganda National Examinations Board grading.

This School Management System is one of those products. It carries the whole school on a single record: student admissions and bio data with photographs, classes and streams, subjects, academic years and terms, attendance, examinations with marks entered by each subject teacher, report cards that follow the grading rules you set, school fees and payments, the timetable, the library, notices and events, and a canteen wallet where parents load pocket money onto a student card and the canteen sells against it.

Grading follows the curriculum you choose at installation, either the Uganda National Examinations Board system or an international scheme. Ugandan schools are covered at both O Level and A Level under the current lower and upper secondary curriculum, with subsidiary subjects marked as such and points computed the way the Ministry of Education prescribes. Grading scales can be preset for the whole school and then overridden per class, per subject or per term where a department needs its own scale.

The platform is multi-tenant. One installation hosts many schools, each with its own badge, students, staff, fee structures, grading and settings, and no school can see another's records. Every account signs in with an email address, sets its own password from a verification link, and can be protected with two-step verification by email or SMS. Administrators decide, user by user, which modules each member of staff may open.

The system is maintained by Twende Link Limited. We handle installation, staff training, data migration from your existing registers, customisation to match how your school works, and continuing support. If a report, form or workflow needs to change, talk to us and we will change it.
